Hello everyone! I am Andrew.
Originally from Ohio, I now reside in California for the time being, after 3 years in North Carolina, and 2 years in Japan before that! I currently work as an avionics electronics technician in the military, but will be changing my job to intelligence here soon.

I have always been incredibly fascinated by tech and computers, but as I am in my mid-twenties, I have more of a drive than ever to attempt to learn about how these things we call computers work and how I can add to the advancement of this technology. I am FAR from being a novice in this pursuit, and still consider myself a baby-beginner, as I've never fully escaped tutorial h*ll and have never taken on any projects of my own.

Any advice helps and I hope you follow me along my journey!

Hey Thaisa!

I've always been drawn to backend development. I consistently catch myself asking "What goes on after I press this button?" It's funny how much we think we know about the internet, but there is just so much out there. I am learning about HTTP and servers currently and as simple as this stuff might seem on the surface (HTTP, DNS, IP, client/server relationships) it is not! At least to me lol.

Way out of tutorialhell is simply do small projects. I can warmly recomend AOC (Advent Of Code). Its a page full of small puzzles.

I'm doing IBM full-stack developer professional certificate in Coursera before i start Uni majoring Computer Systems Engineering.

I'm falling in love with all the topics im learning like cloud computing, web-development using JavaScript, developing front-end apps with React... using Git and GitHub UI... it is pretty cool this massive world that can view and interact with on my laptop...

I want to make friends here, and maybe share experiences and help each other, and to contribute in open-source projects, which it is something that im looking forward to do to gain experienceeee. i would love to contribute but i dont know how to start..
