Professional : Pretty much the same type of day as the other days of this week. Responded to some community questions and worked on documentation.
Personal : Making progress with the printers. Printed a sample, but it got kind of weird towards the end with clogging. The quality of the images in the print didn't come out as defined as I would like, so I switched to a smaller nozzle size. The clogging issue got even worse. Tried a few times, same problem. It's not that the nozzle is clogged, as the filament would melt, it would clump up around the nozzle and not fall off like it's supposed to. I even dried the filament again for like 5 hours, then tried printing again. Same issue. Decided to scrap the filament and go with another color. This new color matches closer to the album artwork and vinyl colors anyway. Not to jinx it, but so far, the print is going well. The printer says it will take like 16 hours just to print this part of the piece. Going to see if the quality is much better than the larger nozzle and then make a decision.
So, I got this print still going on one printer and another model printing on another printer. While that's happening, going to work on the radio show. Take stock of what filament I have and place some orders. With how long these prints look like they will take, I'm going to have to order yet another printer that is similar to this newest one that's not as large as my largest, but it's not as decked out so it's a lot cheaper. After the radio show pre-work, going to work on a 3D model. Going to try and make it a super productive weekend. Looking to have at least one other printer up and running before I head to the station on Saturday.
